Description Juncus ensifolius ‘Flying Hedgehogs’ Beaver Dam Plant. A compact, clump-forming, UK native, evergreen perennial with dense tufts of fine, upright, dark green cylindrical stems. The quirky, spiky habit gives a hedgehog-like appearance, making it a fun choice for borders, containers, or pond edges. In summer, it has small, inconspicuous brown flowers near the tips of the stems which look like little hedgehogs. Grow in permanently moist, acid soil, or water up to 5cm deep in sun or partial shade. It will reach a height of 20-30cm and a spread of 50cm. Supplied size 1 x Plant in 9cm Container
