If your partner put you on a mission to find something really awesome in cool kids' colors, this is your child’s next 20-inch bike. This bike is assembled just for you in Colorado (from the frame up), so PLEASE order well ahead of spring. We get backed up once everyone starts thinking, "What's the best 20-inch bike I can get for under $1000 that has a super wide 11–38 gearing range, Shimano brakes, and three tire choices that would be best for my young rider?" This is it! Tires you can choose for this build: We have Aggressive - Kenda Regolith 2.2" TR Tubeless Bead (Set up tubeless at not extra cost this month with Orange Seal Endurance formula) We have FAST XC - Kenda Booster 2.2" TR Tubeless Bead (Set up tubeless at not extra cost this month with Orange Seal Endurance formula) Bike Path, light trails, commuter to school - Schwalbe Little Joe 2.0" tires (Set up with TUBES, not tubeless ready tire design -$49.00 by selecting this checkbox) Looking for a 20" bike with a suspension fork? Check out our Blue Sky 20 Custom Builds page here! The Blue Sky 20 LTD offers the highest performance-to-value ratio in the 20" category! With 4 cool color options in stock to choose from, Jagwire slick-shifting cables designed for small hands to be able to shift easily, a wide-range 11-38 cassette, and Shimano MT201 hydraulic disc brakes — this is THE best 20" bike to elevate your kids' riding experience to the next level! Shimano brakes! SHIMANO Hydraulic Disk Brakes Standard We use PREMIUM components all the way around to create the lightest bike possible. Small details like category leading Jagwire slick cable housing provide easy shifting abilities where kids with small hands and maybe not as strong can actually shift gears! Every detail has been taken into consideration so your kid has the absolute best riding experience. Pretty much every other kids bike on the market doesn't take this into consideration and just slap the cheapest shifter and even cheaper cable housing to hit a low price point. Cheeping out and skimping on quality parts is NOT our business model. We spec the absolute best on our Blue Sky 20 bikes. Our Blue Sky 20 LTD uses the new 9 speed Microshift Advent 20" drivetrain, 11-38 cassette, our superlight cranks with 28 tooth chainring, lightweight wheels and the ability to even have a water bottle (even though the real estate is pretty tight in there, see below for confirmed bottle/cage fitment). Assembled to Order in Colorado, USA We are a small family business focused on building the best kids mountain bikes possible. We truly geek out on this stuff, just see our Instagram page for some examples. Each and every Trailcraft bike is meticulously assembled to order in Fort Collins, Colorado, USA. You can take comfort in knowing that when you place your bike order, your child's new dream bike is built by our master builders from the frame up, using American labor. Are you in Australia, Japan, New Zealand, or other markets where you run your brakes opposite us? Left brake, rear - Right brake, front? No problem! We can set your brakes up MOTO style (as we call it) with ease! This process may take a few more days compared to purchasing a "X brand" kids bike with one build option, most likely built and boxed in the Far East. There's nothing wrong with that, but we operate a bit differently; we're more of a custom shop. As a result, our bikes are significantly lighter, feature meticulous attention to detail, and boast higher quality. However, building a lightweight bike of this caliber takes a bit longer and requires some planning on your side. We promise the wait is worth it, and these bikes will elevate your kids' riding to the NEXT level! Water Bottle Compatibility We recommend the Polar Breakaway 12 ounce insulated bottle with the Salsa Side Load Cage. The Fidlock Twist 450ml setup works well. This is a non-traditional mounting system, but might actually be easier for kids to operate. "Once in a while, a bike comes along and blows your mind; this is one of them. Achieving a weight of 19 lbs makes it the lightest in class for 20-inch hardtails. With outstanding geometry, a phenomenal fork, and top-quality build, this bike is worth every penny for families who live and breathe mountain biking." - Colin, The Bike Dads See The Bike Dads Blue Sky 20 Review for a great video review.
